MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT COMMANDER
Welcome to the virtual headquarters of the 6th Military District, Sons of Veterans Reserve. We mostly consist of descendants of Union soldiers, committed to preserving the memory of their sacrifices to preserve the country during the U.S. Civil War from 1861-1865. In this site you will discover who we are, what we do, and how you can be a part of it.
If volunteering to help educate the next generations on American history interests you, if participating in uniform at events as solemn as a grave dedication or as celebratory as an Independence Day parade captures your imagination, or if you want to honor your own Civil War ancestor in a unique and impactful way, we might be just what you’re looking for.
Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section for more answers about our organization and history. Thank you for coming here and please let us know when you’re ready to serve alongside us.
In Fraternity, Charity, and Loyalty
